The Christian life is about more than being forgiven, more even than making it to heaven. The heart of Christianity is about connection and transformation. Connecting with God and others and allowing that connection with God, His Son, and His Spirit to transform us into who Christ intended us to be. As Christian Adults God isn't just concerned with our "spiritual lives," but He wants to impact every aspect of our living. We must realize that God meets us not just in a monastery, cathedral, or church, but on Main Street, Everywhere, USA. You may be familiar with the term Spiritual Discipline, things such as prayer, daily devotions, bible study. We like to look at these "disciplines" as Means of Grace, in other words they are the Means by which we more fully experience the Grace of God. At Meadowbrook we want to equip each other with the things necessary to not just experience an ordinary run of the mill religion but to have an extraordinary encounter and relationship with the Son of God, Jesus Christ. It is our hope that you will find some of the resources below helpful and that they enrich your spiritual journey.
Bridge Builders: This is an awesome new ministry in our church. Thanks to the leaders Randy and Arlene Brinckman, this ministry reaches out to our fellow church members by sending cards for various occasions, sending flowers in the event of a death, coordinating food to those in need, and just the random acts of support that are needed. At Meadowbrook, no one stands alone, and Bridge Builders is here to remind us.
Want to know about Meadowbrook, what we believe, what you can expect, or maybe how to become a member? Then make arrangements now to attend or host a First Step Class (formerly Meadowbrook 101). Jeff, our Senior Minister and Preaching Pastor will be happy to schedule a meeting around your schedule. Whether it is for just your family, a group of friends, or with others you are just beginning to meet we look forward to sharing with you the excitement that is to be found at Meadowbrook.
Join us Sunday mornings at 9:45 for Bible Study.
Jim Thacker is leading a study on how Christians can relate to other religions. Using a variety of sources the group discusses how to explain what Christians believe and how to listen to what other religious groups believe and how to tell them the good news about Christ.
